District bird-Wild ducks

Many cheongdung ducks visit here from North Siberia and North Manchuria on late October and they stay till next year March. The people in Gangseo are friendly with the bird.

When April comes, this tree blooms in a white beautiful flower and then make a delicious fruits. The flower represents Gangseo people's genuine and endless hope.

This tree grows near villages in China and Korea, it is a very strong elm and a deciduous tree. It is also a proof against the cold and a proof against ferity air as an specificated area tree. This tree symbolizes the history and the culture in Gangseo and it is friendly to the people's emotion.

District mascot-Cheongduri

This mascot symbolizes the auspicious dream of the people of Gangseo District to fly energetically into the New Millennium. AS the cheongduri ducks flock together. So do the people of Gangseo to build a better and brighter future for the New Millennium.
